Protium

The Challenge:

Protium reached out to Ibexlabs to scan their environment to make sure their AWS infrastructure was well-architected. They also wanted to launch a new service through Infrastructure-as-Code (IAC) to have a predictable and documentable infrastructure. And finally, a key goal was to optimize costs wherever possible.

The Ibexlabs Solution

Ibexlabs completed an overall assessment of Protium’s infrastructure using the AWS Well-Architected Framework. As part of the Well-Architected review, Ibexlabs focused on the two pillars of Security and Reliability. We used Terraform to help Protium build a secure and compliant AWS infrastructure that positioned them for substantial cost savings.

• AWS SecurityHub: View the security status and monitor through automated compliance checks.
• AWS Guard Duty: identify unexpected and potentially unauthorized and malicious activity within the AWS environment using machine learning.
• AWS Lambda: run code without provisioning or managing the servers.
• AWS Web Application Firewall (WAF): Protect web applications against both common web exploits and malicious bots that may affect availability, compromise security, or consume excessive resources.
