Ibexlabs has added another feather in its cap by acquiring the AWS Level 1 Managed Security Service Provider Competency, joining only nineteen other consulting partners who have achieved this coveted status. By awarding this certification, AWS has validated the technical and operational capabilities that Ibexlabs provides its customers to meet AWS’s level one managed security service requirements.
Achieving AWS Level 1 MSSP Competency enables Ibexlabs — already an AWS Advanced Consulting Partner with over 100 AWS Certifications covering four Competency areas and six Service Delivery Programs — to create more business value for its customers by meeting and exceeding AWS’s baseline standard of quality for managed security services.
Security is a shared responsibility between AWS and its customers once they adopt AWS services for their cloud-based deployments. Ibexlabs already consults with AWS security experts to guide our managed service solutions using AWS Security Services and AWS Solutions implementations. And now, with this additional competency that strengthens our existing AWS Managed Service Provider and Security Partner Programs participation, customers will have a one-stop shop for performing risk-based assessments with Ibexlabs when choosing a service from the AWS portfolio to support their security requirements.

From now on, AWS will annually validate Ibexlabs’s technical capabilities and operational procedures to ensure that these continue to meet the baseline standard of quality expected of Level 1 Managed Security Services. This baseline has ten security areas, and AWS security experts revise these security requirements annually. This service spans six security domains: vulnerability management, cloud security best practices and compliance, threat detection and response, network security, host and endpoint security, and application security.
Ibexlabs is now equipped to offer its customers additional security assessments, design, implementation, third party and legacy integration, and training to support their cloud journey.
